After a house fire left the original structure destroyed, we worked closely with the family to rebuild on the existing footprint—reconfiguring plumbing, adapting the layout, and integrating new design thinking within the constraints of what remained. As part of this, the area originally allocated to the garage was redesigned into internal living space—expanding the home’s liveable area without increasing the slab size.

Set on a rural property, the finished family home includes generous proportions, layered light through highlight windows, and a refined finish throughout. With a clear vision from the owners and a collaborative working relationship, this project became a successful and deeply satisfying rebuild for everyone involved.
